Mental Pics and Laughter

A few of the remaining thoughts before we become a fam of 5 (ok 6 w Bryley).

For years now I have told Charito of my thoughts for an invention and still I think of it each time something like this happens.....
the moments in the morning when the boys climb into our bed and fight over who gets the comfy spot on my chest to cuddle on. Once all 3 of us are cozy I want my invention to pop up. That little invention that is a camera in every room that performs at every angle and all I have to do is push a lil button behind my ear and it takes the photo of whatever moment I want to embrace right then n there. So many adorable moments that are left to remain in my mental pictures library instead. But sure would be nice to have those pics for my mom or email to Charito during the day. Ahh one day Ill put Charito to work on it and we will be millionaires!

The laughter portion of this post...call it irony, silliness, dread, anxiety, whatever but I think its so odd that as anxious as I am to meet Caden and get this show on the road what I am really sitting around here waiting for is PAIN. Pain I remember quite clearly from Grayson. As grateful as I was to have the "textbook" labor n delivery of Grayson its kinda nervewracking knowing what I am in for. For the most part knowing what to expect. And boy is it dragging.......I have been have minor contractions off and on since last Thursday. Now they occur every 2-3 hours and last about 2 hours off and on since Monday nite. I am literally waiting for stronger contractions, contractions that peak, contractions that last for several minutes every 10 minutes or less and are difficult to talk through. Yeah, yeah Ms. Nurse that I just spoke to-I remember. Just making sure this waiting around for what seems like forever is okay for baby. And of course I hate the unknown-when and where this will happen and who will we be able to be with the boys at the time. Its actually Charito is more freaking out than I this morning. I know I gotta wait it out but I know (and a bit in back of my mind ) hes thinking of Caden's movements and whether he has consistent movements. We dont want to find ourselves with an all of a sudden no amniotic fluid situation like with Triston. I know chances are slim but your mind wanders when it comes to this tiny lil life of his.

So here I sit going through our daily routines WAITING. Essentially waiting for PAIN. Its all completely tolerable right now. Just feels like I am getting or have my period. Restless nites with the monitoring of it all and peeing so often. Feeling tired very quickly by mid-day. And just soaking up the moments with my two boys every chance I get (along with my guilty irritability). But it will all be worth it in the end and even Triston can get past the waiting game-as he continues to remind me, 'Mom, Caden sure is taking a long time!" Boy is he sure on that one. But oh boy, when I finally get to hold him in my arms and share with those around us....I love that overwhelming feeling and look forward to it sooooo much. Til then baby boy!
